Searching for the paradoxically fresh-eternally present pure force beyond the present civilizations of capitalism, socialism, westernization, and modernization. Seeking butoh not only through personal eyes, but also through lenses of research, instruction, performance, and studio collaboration.
Bridging worlds, including the dark ones of the night and the daytime ones and light, seeing through the larger “Eye.” Politics merge with life merging with spirituality and art. A local-global cultural quest for justice, love and expression becomes a moving dream reaching toward realization.
